Personal pandemic: Short stories of Vermonters facing life in the coronavirus era

The coronavirus entered our daily vocabulary in early March with announcement of the first sick Vermonters. Since then, cases have proliferated, people have died and the measures Vermont lawmakers, businesses and residents are taking to slow the virus’ spread have altered the way we live.

Symptoms of COVID-19 can include fever, cough and breathing trouble. Most develop only mild symptoms. But some people, usually those with other medical complications, develop more severe symptoms, including pneumonia, which can be fatal.
