Emily Bloom, Rice XC running: The senior hammered to the day’s best time at the NVAC Metro Division championships at Missisquoi on Saturday, seizing the small-schools race in 18 minutes, 56.2 seconds.

Ava Hamme, South Burlington soccer: Hamme set up her teammates on a pair of first-half corner kicks and then struck for the insurance tally after the break in a 3-1 win over Burlington on Saturday night.

Caleb Nye, Champlain Valley XC running: The senior posted a winning time of 16:20.1 in the large-school race at the NVAC Metro Division championships at Missisquoi on Saturday. Behind Nye, CVU placed four runners in the top 11 to capture the team crown.
